Alarm with phone off

Hola. Compré el dispositivo hace unos días. Cómo era de esperarse en los últimos Smartphones la alarma no funciona si el teléfono está apagado. Hay alguna forma de que funcione con el terminal apagado? O que se encienda al sonar la alarma?

Hi. I bought the device a few days ago. As expected in the latest Smartphones the alarm does not work if the phone is switched off. Is there any way to work with the terminal off? Or to turn on when the alarm sounds?

Hi @BautyMei, welcome to our forum!

Your question has been translated to English as this is an International forum.

There is no setting or feature in the device that will make the alarm ring when the device is either turned off or that will start the device automatically and then let the set alarm go off.

For an alarm to ring, the device will need to be powered on.

I hope that answers your question! Slightly_smiling_Face

Good afternoon, this week I bought a Sony Xperia XA1 and there is something that is throwing me a little back, the issue of the alarm asked by the partner. I do not want to leave the phone on at night, on my previous phone (smartphone of another brand and 4 years old) I set the alarm when I went to sleep and turned it off, the phone automatically turned on at the time marked by the alarm. That's what I want because it's more practical than no-bother options or airplane mode in which the device is still active. I do not think it is something too complicated to apply or solve, no doubt Sony in this respect is behind other brands of little reputation.
Thank you

Hi @Troniko, I'm afraid that the Xperia XA1 does not have such a feature either, however I'll make sure to forward your feedback internally! Slightly_smiling_Face

Is there any reason as to why you don't want to have the device powered on during the night? If it is because of notifications and so forth, you can setup the device to be silent until the next alarm rings by creating an automatic rule for this in Settings > Sound > Do not disturb > "Add more".

I hope that helps! Slightly_smiling_Face

Thank you Jonas for transmitting the message!

As for your question, I do it the other way around! Is there any reason to have the phone switched on at night? It will be better off, I say;)

Hi again @Troniko! Slightly_smiling_Face

That is a very good question actually, I haven't thought about not having the device turned on during the night, guess it's mostly because of the alarm and that I don't have to start the device up when I wake up. Old habits die hard, I guess! Slightly_smiling_Face

Have a great one!

Hi @Russ2910, sorry for the late reply.

Are you using the normal clock application for your alarms? I have never heard about the alarm talking to someone when it rings.

Perhaps it could be linked to Google assistant in some way, but that would only make sense if you set your alarms using Google assistant. Do you know if you do that, or do you just add the alarm as normal in the clock app?

Thank you.
