Hi, Can someone shed any light to why is my sony 55xd8599 tv is not coming on and the red light is flashing 6 times

More than likely an internal component in your TV has failed and will need replaced, probably the mainboard.

After trying the various resets and still the TV won't turn on then you will need it serviced/ repaired.

As it is a 2016 model it is most likely out of warranty and repair could be quite expensive.

Fancy a new telly, the 2022 models from most manufacturers are now in the shops.

I was hoping that there was a quick fix/reboot or something like that as everywhere I looked prior to posting my question here said/showed the same as you with a hardware/component issue.

Yes sure, it might be beyond economical repair, looks like i need a new one.
