I am having trouble connecting my dongle to my router, it asks for my WPS password , what could that be.I hope someone can help.
Regards
Rob
Hi Rob,
I presume it is WPA or WPA-PSK?
If so, this is your wireless network Key you use to connect a laptop to your router. This is part of your wireless security - to stop everyone driving past your house from connecting to your network.
If you can't remember this Key which was used when you first connected your computer by wifi, give us the make and model of your router and hopefully someone here will have the same router and can direct you to the security setup page for your router.
Sorry Rob, not thinking today.
Provided you use Windows to connect your laptop to your router, you can find the Network Password from your laptop.
Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center
Choose 'Manage Wireless Networks' in the left-hand column
Double-click on your wireless network name
In the Wireless Network Properties window, click on the Security Tab
Check the box 'Show Characters' and your network Key (password) will be shown
Dont understand above reply from Rob, No network/sharing icon in my windows. However Ive just had the same problem. Dont know how sony come up with the Wac.. but the security number you require is on your hub or router = just done it 1 hour ago
