Hi All
I have just brought a new PRS-350 for my daughters birthday and we thought we would load some books for her as an additional gift. I plugged the eReader into my laptop and waited for over an hour. Nothing. All I get is a blinking orange LED by the power button. If I hold the power button over I get a red flashing LED.
Question is do I take it back ASAP to get it replaced or is it me?
Cheers
Nik
The PRS-350 won't allow you to do anything whilst it is connected to a USB port.
Can you see the device in Windows Explorer?
If you unplug it and move the power switch to the right, then release it, does the reader work?
If none of the above, take it back.
One hour isn't enough to fully charge the reader, but mine came with ample power to play with it out of the box.
Don't bother installing the software on the PRS-350, install Adobe Digital Editions and Calibre.
Hi SteveF48
Thanks for coming back to me.
I ended up with it on charge for over 5 hours. When I un-plugged and switched it on the led flashed red 4 times and then went off. No life at all from the device.
Waterstones are going to replace it for me.
Cheers
