I have a PRS600 and have bought about 30 books from Waterstones with no problems. Yesterday I decided to buy a few books for my holiday from Sony Book Store. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE THAT TURNED OUT BE!
I downloaded the books but when I tried to put them on my ebook reader I got a message about authorisation and couldn't load them or open them on my PC. I had an ID. So I contacted Sony Support and had a most difficult conversation. I couldn't understand him and he asked me to spell out everything I said and I don't think he understood what I was saying. The upshot of it was he said I needed to deauthorise my PC and authorise it again with a different email address. This I did and the books loaded OK.
HOWEVER, I lost all my 30 books that I had bought from Waterstones and now have to wait until they have contacted all the Publishers to reset my links, which could take some time. If I knew that was going to happen I wouldn't have bought the books from Sony, I wasn't told that was going to be the case.
If Waterstones manage to get my books back then I will continue to use them. Their support is UK based and they were extremely helpful and co-operative considering it wasn't their fault and Sony have lost a customer!

Did you use the same email address that you used to purchase the books from Sony that you had used to purchase the books from Waterstones.?
