The Red Bull Illume is a huge international photography competition that aims to reward and recognise the most stunning action and adventure shots from around the world. It’s been held every three years since 2007 and this year is set to be the biggest yet, with a new ‘mobile’ category for photos taken on smartphones and over 50 expert photo editors on the judging panel.
It’s the perfect opportunity for high-octane action photographers to get their shots noticed by some of the most formidable forces in the industry, and the winners get to see their work displayed in exhibitions across the globe. The contest is completely free to enter, and you could also be in with a chance of receiving some amazing Sony gear, including an α7R II, a RX1R II and a whole host of different lenses.
Photographers of all levels and abilities are welcome to take part, but there’s not long to go before the door for entries slams shut at midnight on March 31st.
