I have a XE9005.
I use a Xbox One X with 4k output.
Going from game to dashboard and even sometimes in a game the resolution info pops up.
Annoying.
Screen settings are greyed out, so I cant choose Full Pixel and I fear my TV is zooming or something undesireable.
I just want the native resolution,no zooming, stretching or anything.
This is my second 9005 and the first one didnt diplay the info all the time and Im pretty sure I changed it to Full pixel, but on this one I cant. Why?
Also, the android user interface is an older version from the one I had, but it says I have the latest when updating.
My volume is sluggy in this one and I know I was fast with the newer android on the last tv.
Thanks in advance. I really hope someone can explain the resolution thing. I want native clear picture only.
Hi there,
I'll look into this, and a community member should get back to you.
Best wishes,

Hi Olltymer,
You can disable the info bar completely by pressing on Home - Settings - Channel Set up - Info bar - Off and it should never appear again.
Also, the screen settings will always be dimmed when you're choosing the input of an external device, so you can use the action menu to view the editable settings.
I don't think you can actually roll back to a previous version. So, to check if you've the latest version of Android, Oreo, installed , press on Help, System information and make sure that the version there is PKG6.6520
Cheers,

I disabled the info (thank you!).
When my xbox is outputting 4k can i assume that the tv always gives me a full pixel image. I really dont want the tv to mess with the source signal in any way. It looks good so I assuming its at its best.
Regarding android. The version on this tv is older, but it says its up to date. It was my former tv that had a newer version (this is a replacement from Sony). It looked different and it was easier to delete items etc. Also the volume was way more responsive.
Thank you for your answers.
appologies I know this is an old thread but im having a similar issue on my xe 9305 which is now running Oreo. I connected an NVidia shield tv device into HDMI 2 which is one of the faster ports using a high speed cableand the tv ( xe9305) and had settings/external inputs to enhanced 4k in was indicating hdr in the action/ display/ picture setting but was not setting the optimum settings for the content iethe brightness was not getting set to max. Whilst trying to troubleshoot this I have noticed that the settings/ display screen are all greyed out and cannot be changed. I tried changing the settings. external inputs back to standard but its not letting me save that change the radio button in on d for standard but if I go back a screen it still indicates enhanced 4k. restarting the tv hasn't let me maintain the change either any ideas or help to resolve this would be appreciated.

Is the movie/series you are watching in another aspect ratio than 16:9, so 4:3 or 21:9? If so, there is no way to fit the image so you don't have any letterboxing - it also is not desirable, since you would loose parts of the image.

Hello @crasypr,
what do you mean? Do you have Letterboxing on all four sides? If not, what you see is normal.
