Recently noticed that the free HD channels have disappeared from the guide, no longer tuned. No amount of going through set up and/or tuning makes any difference. The TV is about 30 months old. Any ideas what's going on?
Favourite suspects would be reception issues (low signal) and/or interference such as from an HDMI cable running alongside your aerial lead. HD Freeview is far more demanding on good signal than the regular channels. Try switching any other HDMI connected stuff OFF and make sure the aerial lead goes direct from roof to TV.
