Bravia 8 stuttering since Firmware 114.602.030.1 update

I have been using my Bravia 8 65" for over a year on the same settings and it has been perfect. However a couple of weeks ago it updated to the firmware with the new EPG without channel logos.

Since then the image on quite often starts to stutter. This can be seen on OTA transmissions through the antenna and on inputs.

When using the antenna it will often begin to get jerky/stutter and I can change channel and change back again and it will be fine for a while but sometimes comes back again.

I have checked all my image settings and they have not changed.

It would appear this new version of firmware has broken things and many people on AVS forum, Reddit & Facebook are reporting similar issues.

Please let us know the what happens as I am walking the same route but haven't yet got back in touch.  Sony should be ashamed at this appalling update. I payed for a top of the range tv now 18 months later its junk. I will start to post on the Internet not to buy Sony goods.

This happens it doesn't like fast movement.  The opening to Emmerdale is bad. Sony are so bad over this issue.

I haven't registered my TV with Sony so I'll do that and submit a support ticket also. The other route would be to log an issue with John Lewis who I bought it from.

I'd like to keep the TV as it's still highly regarded in terms of picture quality, but the software is really poor. I wish I had looked at the software side of things before purchasing, as it's so bad compared to LG.

I'll try to create some other videos to help.

Just a quick update from me. I’ve shared the YouTube video posted earlier in this thread with Sony, as the behaviour shown in it accurately reflects the intermittent judder/stuttering I’m seeing on my own BRAVIA 8 II.

I thought the existing video was particularly useful because it provides a clear example of the behaviour being discussed here and also shows that very similar symptoms are being observed on more than one TV. Hopefully it will help Sony better understand exactly what we are describing.
