Recently my camera (ILCE-6000) started to act weird. When I set focus with AF, the middle rectangle turns green as usual. Then I take my shot, but after that the rectangle doesn't release, it is still green. No buttons work and I can't take any more photos. I am forced to remove the battery. But sometimes even after that, the rectangle is still green and I have to remove the battery again.
Camera is set to AF-S, and the problem occur with any lens (even with manual focus and/or with a manual lens). Pre-AF is turned off, if this should have anything to do with this.
When shooting in MF, I can take several shots after each other, but the camera "locks" all buttons for 5-10 seconds before I can use them. This is very weird!
Sometimes when the camera starts up, the focus rectangle is gray and I can't set focus at all. Then there is a gren dot blinking on the display (indicating no focus, I guess). I have to restart the camera again
Did I accidently turn a setting somewhere, or is this perhaps a faulty camera?
I've tried to do a full reset of the camera, but this problem came back.
This clearly is not normal behaviour. I would send it back for a repair.
First time I heard of this issue though...
