Hello,

I live in Montenegro. I have two SONY pal tv units and several media devices connected.

They are all set to 1080i/50 and the picture is fine. However, when I connect my new device blu ray player SONY S4500b, i get info from tv that the signal is 1080i/60, and the picture is very dark. I know from experience that the picture is very dark with this setting.

I tried updating the device and i tried several hdmi inputs, but that didnt solve my problem.

Anyone can help with forcing the hdmi output from blu ray player to 1080i/50 or 720p/50??

Best regards,

Vlado

Hi there

You will need to consult your TV manual and have a look at the HDMI settings. Many TVs allow you to customise the display settings (i.e. brightness) on each HDMI input, can this be done on your TV?

The only couple of setting that may help on your BDP-S4500 is:

Cheers
