KDL-46EX503 TV keeps switching on and off

My Sony Bravia TV has just started to switch itself on and off. If you wave your hand over the sensor it also switches on and off. Pretty much every button on all controls can switch the TV on and off but cannot perform the required function e.g. volume. Have tried changing all batteries. Have tried switching power off. can't get to menu to see if there is even a factory reset.

Any help anyone can offer would really be appreciated please.

Hi,

Probably a remote issue.

If you hide the remote in a drawer is the TV then still switching on and off?

If not - > remote issue -> you might want to replace the remote

If yes -> TV issue -> please get in touch with a repair centre
