TV smelling

We have a Sony Bravia KDL 40R483B television that was purchased in August 2014. Tonight there is a burning smell coming from it so obviously we have switched off. Is this something that is able to be fixed easily? This has never happened to previous TVs we have had and I would not expect it to need replacing after this short time. Any help gratefully received.

I am referring your issue to Sony Support. If the TV has a burning smell coming from it - certainly keep it off.

I couldnt even guess what the issue is to be honest - just too many until a qualified person can look at it, hence no idea if its easy to fix.

Anyhow, Sony will be contacting you. Please ensure that your contact details are in your profile settings.

Can I assume that you and Sony have been in contact with each other now? Are you able to update us on the progress as I am curious on how things are going?
