it seems to be a problem a lot of people are having if the tablet is left in standby for a long time the sound goes only way to get it back on is to switch it off and back on again i would like to know what sony plan to do about this a sthey do not appear to be answering anyones querys on this topic hope this helps

Hi aamirbh,

welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:

Did the sound work prior to connecting your headphones

Are your headphones bluetooth, if so have you tried disabling bluetooth.?

Do you hear any of the system sounds, ie screen lock sounds, key clicks, etc..?

Have you checked the sound settings..

Open Settings, then open Sound.

In Sound open Volume..

Does it show your audio is muted.?

If so close the settings screen & then press the + volume button on the right hand side of the tablet (next to power button) hopefully this should remove mute & restore sound on your Tablet..

Are you running the latest Android update.?
