Vista SP1 & Sigmatel Audio Driver (Sony ?)

Hi,

I can't have Vista SP1 because the Sigmatel driver is not compatibel.
I know this issue has been running for several months now...

Do we still have a chance to have an updated version of the SigmaTel Audio driver that is compatible with Vista SP1 ?

I have the last one delivered by Sony 6.10.5379 on March 2007 ...

Some post on the Internet claim that Dell users got a new one 6.10.5614.

Does anyone know what Sony is doing ?

I have no idea what Sony are doing - there has been no news since the last driver attempt.

To be honest, everyone I know has given up waiting and has installed SP1 using the Microsoft Standalone Installer.

Hi,

I've just given up waiting...
I've downloaded and installed the standalone version of SP1 on my VAIO VGN AR31S (French Version). It successfully worked with no sound problem .
The driver Sigmatel driver is still the same.

My main softwares are still working so far...
(Office 2007, NIS 2007, NetBeans 6/Glassfish v2, Oracle 10g XE, Firefox 3, VMWare Player)

before SP1 I could manage to get sound via the HDMI port on my AR21S
now with SP1 i can not get sound from HDMI. any solutions pls?
