I would like to buy a sony AR71S but i have noticed that some third parties (like dabs.com,e-bay e.t.c) are offering it at a lower price than sony. what i want to know is if anyone has had any dealings with these third parties and what i should look out for before spending my money.

Buying from Amazon Direct ( not Amazon Market place) and Dabs.com are safe, i've use them in past with no problem, avoid buying new from ebay unless you are sure of the seller, saying that, good bargains can be had from ebay, just check the serial number with sony to make sure the warranty will be honoured at your location. Hope you find a good bargain

Thanks guys. i saw a very good deal on ebay but i really dont trust the seller. I am also thinking on extending the one year warranty that comes with the package. can i keep on extending it every year after the current one expires or do i have to buy the extension immediately after buying the laptop?

You have untill the end of your original warranty , you can add another 1 year or 2 years before the end of your current warranty (the one year warranty that came with the laptop when you purchase it)
