VGN-A215Z totally dead!

I plugged my mobile phone via USB into my Vaio yesterday and it (the laptop) died! It is totally dead, no power light or anything!

Is there a user changable fuse somewhere or some other, hopefully, simple solution?

Failing that, is there an easy way of getting out the HD so I can get my data?

Welcome to Club Vaio..

Is the light illuminated on your Vaio's charger.?

If so try the following..

Unplug the power supply and remove the cable and all connected devices from your Vaio, then remove battery.

Once done press and hold down power button for a full 30 seconds, then replace the battery and then plug in power cord. Once completed turn the laptop on..

Thanks for the advice, I tried what you suggested but without success. I have sent it off to be repaired as i need it working ASAP.

hi, just thought I would ask if the problem was sorted and what it was? I have a similar problem and tried the static discharge etc but still dead. if you know what your problem was maybe that would shed some light on my problem. my laptop is going in for repairs but some clue as to the possible problem would be much appreciated.
