CAMERA CAPTURE NOT WORKING

Hi
I have had my VGN-CR11S for just over a year and ever since I have had it the camera capture has not worked. When I open it the screen is blue and says no input. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Hi fran2989 and welcome to Club Vaio.

First thing to check - is the camera driver installed?

Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Imaging Devices

Is the Vaio Communications Camera VGP-VCC6 shown as installed? If not, is there a USB device showing with a yellow warning triangle, showing that the driver is not installed?

Thanks for your reply.
I had a look and I couldnt see an y yellow warning triangle so I think it is installed. It says the device is working properly in the device status box. I also checked for driver updates, but it said it was up to date?

Next check that you have the 'VAIO Camera Capture Utility' AND the 'VAIO Camera Utility' installed.

Go to C:\Program Files\Sony and check that you have BOTH programmes installed.

What happens if you go to VAIO Camera Capture Utility in All Programs and open it?
