(SVT1312M1ES) Windows 8 driver issue!

Hello again!

I decided not to install Win7 and I put Win8 back.

Ok...everything went fine. No error messages. Nothing. Found drivers and installed them all!

Everything seems to be normal...but...there are two Unknown devices in Device Manager. Details of these devices:

ACPI\VEN_SNY&DEV_A008
ACPI\SNYA008
*SNYA008

and

ACPI\VEN_SNY&DEV_5001
ACPI\SNY5001
*SNY5001

I found out that other one is likely to be firmware extension parser and other may be wireless state device. But I have already installed these devices. As a matter of fact I tried to install these devices many times but nothing happens. Still, there are unknown devices. How do I get these unknown devices out of the Device Manager?

Hi pekka.ylinen,

As you previously stated that you formatted the drive and didn't create recovery media I assume this is a retail copy of Windows? If so have you installed all avaiable Sony drivers and Utilities?

Sony don't guarantee that all utilities will work with a retail copy of the OS but you will have a better chance with all Sony Utilities in place.
