Processor Speed Problems on S3XP

Hi everybody,

It's so hard to tell my S3XP that I want to have full speed, 2GHz.
Every energy saving option I have tried and nothing worked
properly. What can I do? I tried to re-start my computer several times and it worked somehow. Any help? Is there any possibility to turn off the speed step option? Any software?

Speedstep XP will solve your problem, you can set it so the processor can run "Dynamic Switching" , "Max performance" or "Max Battery". On my K115Z this is either 3.06GHz or 1.06GHz.

thanks for your help. I downloaded and installed the software. Sadly it was not possible anymore to do the "hibernate" when hitting the "power" button. Simply, it was not available in the windows dialog. Afterwards I had to deinstall the software - and this solved the "hibernate" problem. But: The software didn't help at all, I am afraid. Any other ideas?

Hi,

I've got the same problem with S3XP's VAIO Power Mgt and reported it on e-support about one month ago. So far, they havn't come up with a solution.
