Does anyone know if the SLT A55V has an internal battery and if so, how to change it. 🤔

I was using my camera outside in very cold weather.❄️ I was taking shots very low to the ground as well as general shots. I had the camera out for about an hour. Without warning the camera wouldn't turn on. I changed battery to a newly charged one but still not joy.😞

At home, I made sure all my batteries were fully charged and tried to turn my camera on. I have even had it in my airing cupboard in a bag of rice. It remains dead.💔

Hi,

Yes, there should be a buffer battery inside the camera. This is usually recharged when inserting the main battery.

However, frankly spoken and based on my personal experience, I would say that the camera is dead because condensed water.

Remove the lens and check if the camera turns on again. If not I would suggest to get in touch with a repair centre.

Thanks for that. If I am honest I think I knew that would be the response, but was praying for a miracle.
