Sony FE 4 70-200 increase focal length to 300mm

I have an 7 R111 - I bought a a F4 70 -200 and was told that I could increase the focal length to 300mm by using one of the custom buttons, but I can’t seem to find a way of doing this - any help greatly appreciated

This is activating the crop mode. All it does is crop into your image, and therefore reduces resolution.
