How is it possible that a € 1000+ camera can't actually record in Black and White mode?

In 2 years i haven't seen any Firmware Update.

Is it the right support?

Firmware updates are normally used in the event of a product developing a significant fault which can be fixed / minimised with a software update and this would normally happen within 3-6 months of a camera being released. It is the nature of the electronics industry as a whole that after this initial period, manufacturers devote their resources and development teams to producing their next line of cameras.

Having said that, all of the major video editing packages offer the option to convert an imported video into black and white mode (monochrome). Usually the exact elements of the colouring can be adjusted as well in order to get the desired result.
