Sony CMT-CP300 CD drawer problem

Hi I have a Sony CMT-CP300. The CD drawer will not open: when I ask any of the three CDs to eject, I can hear a noise as if it is trying to open the drawer, but no movement is visible. I cannot find a reset: can you help, please?

Hi there

I have had a look at the manual and the service manual and I cannot see a way to help you - I also cannot see a way to manually eject the CDs (without opening it all up). The CDs have either jammed each other, or the mechanism has developed a hardware fault (most likely a rubber band that has snapped from the draw mechanism).

I would advise you contacting an authorised Sony repair centre to get this fixed. See:
