Sony WF-1000XM3 - laptop microphone bluetooth 5.0 version

Hello,

I bought the new wireless buds SONY Wf-1000xm3 that useS bluetooth 5.0. I paired them with my laptop that supports only Bluetooth 4.2.

Making calls on my laptop makes my voice sounds a little strange, like in a bathroom. My question is: if I get an adapter for my laptop for Bluetooth 5, will this improve the sound that my microphone records during calls?

Hi LuisaBr,

Before you buy an adaptor try the headphones with a different device like a mobile phone and check if it'll sound the same or not to know the real reason behind the issue.

Hello,

I tried them as well with my phone, sounds the same but my phone is also bluetooth 4.2.

I don't have any other device with bluetooth 5.0 to try them.
