Bluetooth dropping out following marshmallow update

My bluetooth worked fine and connected without problem to my Audi A4 until I recently upgraded to marshmallow.
Now the phone links up OK but after a short time drops out then reconnects, drops out again a few times until after about 5 minutes it fails to connect at all. Bluetooth is backwards compatible so this shouldn't be a problem, clearly is an issue with the marshmallow upgrade. Any ideas on how to solve?

The first thing to do is to check if you encounter the same in safe mode

Thanks Kudo1. Put into safe mode and it connected and worked fine. I then reverted back to normal mode and it is
also now working fine!! If it is a third party app how do I work out which one if it stops working again?

Ok thanks. Will wait to ser if I get more problems if so I'll remove/replace the apps systematically.
