Can I change the colors in the Messaging app?

Hi, I need to change the Z5 received messaging theme from white inverse video characters on a blue background to black characters on a lighter blue or white as I cannot read the received messages clearly. Please help. IGM1

Hi @IGM1,

I checked in Marshmallow and as far as I know there does not seem to be a way to change the coloring of the conversation bubbles in the Messaging app. You can always search for other Messaging apps in Google Play to see if you can find one which allows you to color the conversations.

here are your options:

1) you can try to change your theme, long press on the homescreen>themes

2.) you can change accessibility settings

settings>accessibility>enable high contrast text or enable color inversion

Thanks. Colour inversion is good for received messages but not good for general use.. IGM1

Just to clarify: From my testing your own conversation bubble can be changed with themes, but the counter part conversation bubble does not seem to change with different themes (I tried the pre-installed ones as well as 3 different ones from Google Play).

You are referring to the counterparts conversation bubble if I understood you correctly?
