Home Screen Icons Rearrange Selves After Marshmallow

I just got the Marshmallow OTA update, and now I can't properly arrange the icons under the standard Xperia launcher.

Previously, you could long-tap and move them around easily to whatever space you chose - simple drag-and-drop. Now, every time I move one the others, including spaces, move around them and shuffle everything up. I just can't get my icons laid out how I want them.

I can't find a setting to fix this and it's driving me insane. Can anyone offer a solution?

@Anatosuchus Tap longer on the screen, select home settings. There, you should have automatically place icons together, enable that.

Does this change anything?

thanks post saved me too, is now the place icons together option, but switching off works

Hello. I do as you suggest and activate "automatically place icons together....." but nothing happens. It's driving me potty!
