No OTA updates

I have an unlocked D5803. I bought it direclty from Sony, not through a carrier. I have always gotten OTA updates in the past. Currently I'm on 23.4.A.1.200. To my knowledge I am 2 udpates behind. But when I go to Settings->About Phone->Software update it says I'm up to date. Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem on my Moto X not updating to 5.0. It turned out that the Motorola updater app itself had to be updated first (I disallow auto-updates from the Play Store app). Once I updated that app I could get the update. So, maybe it's something similar here? But I've updated all of my Sony apps. So, I'm at a loss. I could just try doing it from PC Companion or Bridge for Mac, but I shouldn't have to, right? Thanks.

Updates are released first through PCC / Bridge and then OTA, if your phone was locked to a carrier/network branded then it will be up to them, in some countries, like the UK, the update has to be approved from the carriers before its released, yes, even SIM free phones.

Thanks @uliwooly! But 23.4.A.1.232 was released in October 2015. Seems to me it shouldn't take more than 5 months to get to OTA?

I guess what I'm really curious about is whether others have gotten the OTA yet or not.

@uliwooly - To be honest I haven't checked. I used PCC once and found it to be a pain. But I certainly could check. It's the next logical step. I'm just trying to avoid it.

I could try Bridge for Mac. I haven't used it before.

Ok. I installed Bridge for Mac. From what I read it's supposed to automatically prompt if any updates are available. It is not doing anything when I plug my phone in. Very odd.

Has anyone else gotten an update for the D5803 beyond 23.4.A.1.200?

Nope. It says "Your Xperia software is up to date."

@uliwooly. Thanks. That would certainly explain it. However, that seems odd. 6 months to approve the build that fixes the Stagefright vulnerability? If true, that's unacceptable.

Do you have a source to see which builds have been approved in which countries? Or are you just stating that as the only plausible reason?

You can check the XDA forum, you can download Xperifirm and it will tell you which build your phone has and were it has been released.

I have the unrooted not tempered generic build Indian version but not receiving updates in..whats this??
