Microphone is weird after update

Hello.

Ever since I updated to Android 6.0.1 (Software version 23.5.A.0.570) I've been having problems with calls, people can't hear me very well unless I talk very loudly and slowly.

Hey.

Yes I'm using the standard call app.

I can't find the noise supression settings anywhere. I tried to google how to do it but it seems the setting is gone on some phones?

Under call settings there is no noise supression setting

That option is gone, it's not available in call settings any more.. I'm quite sure that I had this very same issue after upgrade from Jelly Bean to Lollipop and disabling noise suppression was the solution back then.. but as said, it's not possible (without rooting) anymore.. So sad.. my smartphone is not so smart and definitely not the phone anymore.

You need to contact your Local support and have the device examined.

z2 upgraded to marshmallow now phone calls are muffled - solution?

I upgrade my z2 last night to the android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. Since then everyone I've spoken too on the phone says I sound like I'm muffled/underwater/in a wind tunnel. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks

I've also had this problem and solved it by disabling Noise Suppression in Call Settings, while my phone had Lolipop.

But, as already mentioned, since the Marshmallow update the Noise Suppression option is gone and the microphone has started malfunctioning again.

I have xperia z2 more than 1 year.
It isn't hardware or software issue.I know microphone is weak but if you hold your device more near your mouth,they will hear you more.Only way!

Guys please help same issue with my sony xperia z2 after marshmallow update caller can not hear me good after,this trying to check call settings there is no mic settings

As soon as I updated to Marshmallow, no one can hear me, it's become pain for my caller, to talk to me on this phone, also the touchscreen has become autonomous, it drives on its own.

For this reason we will bring back the noise suppression setting as for some networks and circumstances it helps to turn it off. The settings option to disable noise suppression will be included in an upcoming Android™ 6.0, Marshmallow firmware maintenance update. It is set to roll out over the coming weeks, with timing and availability varying by device, region and/or operator.

How could Sony distribute 6.0.1 without testing ordinary phone calls. Apparently, "noise" suppression caused that nobody could understand what I said. Luckily. I got the update today, having noise suppression option with off as default. Works fine. Until you get the update try to set Equalizer to treble (diskant) instead of normal. That helped a lot for me.

.575 update has the option for mic noise suppression back. Availability of the update will differ by market, country and operator.

Hello. After update to android version marshmallow 6.0 I starts having problems with microphone. When I talk some times people having problem to understand what an I saying. Or do not hear me. I never had problems before. Any sugestie?

I had same but ı fixed this problem with Sony Companion. Download and software repair This few take a minute Before get backup
