bluetooth audio in car not working after update (23.4.A.1.232)

Bluetooth audio was working fine before the update. After the update: the phone connects to the car stereo unit (I can tell because the car stereo shows phone info (name, battery level, antenna bars, etc.), but when I play audio there is no sound from the car speakers (or the phone). Anyone else seen this? Anything I should try to reset? I tried closing all apps, restarting the phone, and looking in settings for anything that might be affecting the audio routing - but didn't see anything. Thanks.

Hi @tbird20d

Please, from your Home screen try the following:

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings -> Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on Walkman.
5. Tap Force stop -> Clear data.
6. Restart the phone.

Thanks very much. It's working now. I should note that I tried more than what you said, so it might have been one of these other things, but it's working great. The other things I tried were:

also cleared data for another app that I was using for audio output
turned off and back on again the car stereo
switched between a few different bluetooth modes on the car stereo

I have a Xperia z3 device since 1 year. I use my Phone with a Sony audio system installed in a Ford Focus. Since the first update to marshmellow when I connect the Phone to the car it automatly turn off and I have to conect it manually from the audiocar system. 2 - 3 minutes after it turn off again. And it happens infinite times. If I don't reconnect it I can't use the handsfree. I have tried to pair again the Phone with the car but it doesn't Work. Three days ago I reset to factory settings my Phone and the problem continue. I have another Phone (Samsung) that I use for work and its working properly.

No. I don't have walkman apps. I forgot to mention that the Bluetooth connection crashes while I am during a conversation. Talking with someone. I start the call and in 2-3 minutes it crashes.

Since I bought the Phone I have bring it to the Sony Support 3 times. Because the Bluetooth crashes 30 seconds after it was connected when the Phone was in standby. The last two were at the same month. And they decide to gave me a new Phone. After that it Works properly till the marshmellow update. The diference between this time and the other, one year ago, is that now only crashes when I'm during a conversation and one year ago it crashes automatly 30 seconds after it connects to the car.Do you think it would be a hardware problem?
