xperia z update 4.2.2 problem

i use the xperia chinese keyboard

when in phonepad mode to write a txt the problem is trying to scroll up or down in the smiley/symbols box.as soon as you touch the screen to scroll it chooses the symbol/smiley and not let you scroll up or down. also some menus are duplicated in call settings and sound settings but this isnt a problem just maybe an error on the update.

so do a repair using pc companion ??

would that not delete all my screen/sound and display settings aswell ?

plugged my phone into the laptop to do a repair. clicked pc companion and strangly enough there was a second update in 48 hrs. this update took 30 mins just like the last one. not 100% sure exactly what it was for but there is a few little changes iv noticed. press the side button to turn on and it now comes straight on where as 48 hrs ago update made it turn on progressively within a second.still got the same problem as i metioned b4 but i can live with them

ive looked to find developer options but cant find it, seen it b4 but settings have slightly changed and i am stumped

do you have any accessibility settings? can you post some screenshots of the duplicate menus?

developers = settings > about phone > tap multiple times "build number"

this one is in chinese xperia keyboard, you can not scroll up or down without pasting what you touch, thats whether u touch and hold or just tap

there's nothing wrong with your call settings and/or sound settings menus, that's normal, one is for the general sound and the other specifically for calls.

can you elaborate on the chinese keyboard, you are using not the regular chinese keyboard but the phonepad, I just switched my phone to that keyboard and I can scroll without selecting anything, perhaps you are tapping differently

do you have an extra film protector ?

it doesn't matter if you leave the dev settings on or off, it won't harm your phone at all

as for the smileys it might be just something on the screen (grime or an additional film) that might be causing this problem.
