Car cannot access my contacts

When connecting my phone to the car using Bluetooth my contacts aren't uploading. The message I get is imports failed.

I have just changed cars and now have the same problem. There was no problem with my previous car. Have you found a solution yet.

Contacted Sony support who gave me the following solution which worked.

Go to settings. System. About phone.

Tap build no until You are now a developer appears.

Then go to settings. Developer options. Bluetooth avprc.

Then try the different options with your car until you find the one that works.

I had to delete the phone from the car, restart the phone, then pair again to make it work. But I now have a fully paired phone with contacts.
