This TV was sold to me including BBC iPlayer and the other catch up apps. After it was delivered I found out it does not have BBC iPlayer and the others. The shop that sold it me said Sony were in the process of providing a software update. The question is when will the update be available?

Your guess is probably as good as anybody here. You could try Sony Support for your country or region but please report back as I’m sure the answer will be of interest to many here.

For 2021 TVs, correlate which manufacturers have Freeview Play, and which don’t, with which ones have these apps and which ones don’t.

Then wonder if the broadcasters are providing their apps as ‘Freeview Play or nothing’?
