Unable to register external HDD on KD-55XG95045

Connect ITB to USB REC port. I can see it in Storage and could format it from there but I want to record programmes on it (some say disable YouView app first - I have tried both). There is no option to register the drive for recording. Any ideas?

Thank you. I have followed all those steps (it is compatible) and the ones in the troubleshooting guide. Issue persists.

What is the current software version? It also seems that the model number is incorrect, are you sure from this model ?
