Sony KD 55AG9 turns itself off

Anyone got any advice on a problem that’s suddenly started happening with my TV? It randomly turns itself off - sometimes up to 3 times in an hour. This isn’t connected with the “idle tv” message which appears when the TV has been left on. It simply happens mid-programme. The latest series of switch offs happened like this. Turned TV on, watched for 20 minutes. No touching the remote. Turned itself off. Turned it back on and 15 minutes later turned off again. Turned it in again and 20 minutes later it turned off again. These three events happened within less than an hour.

The source was a Sky box at the time and the Sky Q box stayed on but the Sony AVR turned off too. Currently testing it with the TV tuner and other inputs to see if I can narrow it down.
This TV is a replacement for an earlier one that failed and I’m not looking forward to dealing with Sony Support if I have to again - last time was a nightmare.

Any advice welcome.
