My tv constantly connects and drops Wi-fi have tried switching off tv and Wi-fi and resetting ,factory reboot holding down off switch all unsuccessful very frustrating all other devices work seamlessly suggesting fault with tv

Hi Norriehowie,

Is it the WiFi or is it the network connection?

In case of network connection you might want to check if your clock settings are set to "Network time".

I have a similar problem. I have Netflix and Prime, but when I try and use them I get various messages that all tell me my wi-fi is not connected. It is driving me crazy and I cannot find any setting that allows me to tell it my wi-fi details. Even more irritating is that it has worked in the past.

Peter's response is not helpful as I cannot find anything that relates to 'network time' either.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received, please note that my tech skills are very limited!

Try:

Reboot the Router

Reboot the Android TV

Use a Static IP for TV

Separe the Wi-Fi (2,4 GHz and 5 GHz)

Rename the Wi-Fi if the name of 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz are the same

Use a LAN (if you have problem with the distance between TV and Router use a Powerline devices)

Turned on TV - 'no internet connection' message

The LAN is a cable, Powerline is a couple of devices for cover a distance between the Router and TV (over house electrical system).

That's only for bypass the Wireless problems...

I owe you an apology and thanks.

I looked up Powerline devices on google and it looks like a wi-fi extender.

I have one of those on the opposite wall to the tv. I assume the tv was tuned into the router upstairs, not the extender.

Anyway, I have now moved the extender to the socket I use for the tv. By some stroke of luck I had a Lan cable. Plugged it in and hey presto it all works.

Thanks so much, you have saved me hours of floundering away and using much bad language.

Anyway, Powerline is diffrent from an Extender, Powerline is Internet over A/C power, Extender is Wi-Fi from Wi-Fi.

Does exist, oviusly, Powerline with Wi-Fi for, example, have the Wi-Fi in a remote zone of the House but with a good Signal...
