KD55A1 switches itself off after about 2 hours

My Sony KD55A1 tv turns itself onto standby after about 2 hours. It gives a message to press a button or it will switch off. Pressing a button does not stop it switching itself to standby. This message is not given when watching a long film, the tv just switches to standby. I then have to switch everything fully off, leave for 5 minutes then switch on again and it works fine.

Hi @impy135,

maybe you have set up the auto-sleep, which most people (me included) use on their TV to ensure it will switch itself off if you fall asleep in front of your TV.

I use it on my Philips Android TV and I have set it to 120 minutes (just enough for most movies).

Saldy I can't tell you where exactly that option is located on your TV, maybe someone else who own the same (or a similar model) can step in and help.
